Spring Recreational Soccer Registration now open

Alameda Soccer Club is pleased to announce the opening of Spring 2015 registration for players U10-U19! Please use the Age Chart to see which age group in which to register your son or daughter. Registration for Recreational players U6-U8 will be following shortly.

The Recreational soccer season (Jack London Youth Soccer League) will begin on Saturday March 28, with 9 scheduled matches. No matches will be played on Easter Day or Memorial Day Weekend. Practices are typically held 1-2 times a week for 90 minutes each time. Once teams are formed, coaches will provide families with further information.

Any child 5 years and older can register to play on a Recreational team. The focus is on having fun, learning and playing with friends & schoolmates. Recreational players can ask to play with their friends, or for a coach. The cost to register is $50 for the Spring season.

Register today on Sportability.

For questions related to the Recreational Soccer program contact our Recreational Team coordinator. For registration questions or to request financial assistance contact our Registrar.

  1. Has a mass email been sent out? If so I didn’t receive it yet or if not please do so. My team parent’s have been asking. Thanks!

    1. Hi Lance,

I’m still trying to figure out how to pull email addresses out of the Sportability site in order to send the email. In the mean time, please direct your parents to this posting.

        1. John, great question. We are working to amend the age chart provided on the ASC website for all Recreational teams. There is no U9 Recreational age group. If your 8 year old turned 8 prior to 7/31/14 please register the player for U10. If, however, your 8 year turned 8 on or after 8/1/2014 please register your player for U8.

  2. Are the fields played on (practices / games) for this league still in Alameda? Wasn’t sure if things were different for the Spring league.

    1. Brian, thanks for the inquiry. The fields for practices and matches will be similar to the Fall, but not necessarily the same.

      1. Great – thanks James – just wanted to make sure we’d be staying on the Island, as it would be hard to make practices in Oakland.

    1. Victoria, I am expecting the U6, U7 and U8 registrations to open very soon, and am hopefully we will have these age groups open by the end of today.

      1. They look up now. However it says $95 while here and the other age groups say $50? I sent an email to the register email asking why. Thanks.

  3. Mike,

The Spring season schedule will be post sometime next week on MySoccerLeague.com with first games on March 28th. Coaches will receive notification as soon as this happens. Coaches will be getting their practice field permits this week and begin practicing fairly immediately. Coaches will notify their payers as soon as they have their permits.
