Join your teammates on the Alameda Soccer Club float in Alameda’s July 4th parade!
The ASC float will be on Lincoln Ave (probably somewhere near Walnut St.). Arrive no later than 9:00am. Riders will be managed by ASC representatives and parent volunteers.
There will be a sign in sheet for each rider/player that will need to be filled out by parent or guardian providing all needed contact information. No rider will be allowed to leave float without showing their proper ID and signing the rider out.
Wear your full ASC uniform (no cleats of course). U8 and under in their International uniforms.
Younger players will ride on the float and older ones will walk along the route with props and also be asked to hand out Fall registration flyers to spectators.
Parents can pick riders up at end of parade on Lincoln between Webster and 8th.
Riders do not need to complete the entire parade on the ASC float. Riders that depart float early will need to be signed out by parent/guardian per sign in sheet.
Water and snacks will be provided for all riders. Please have your rider wear sunscreen and have good walking shoes.
Parent Volunteers needed!
If you are interested in helping out with the float during the day of the parade or helping decorate the float please contact Dave Lekashman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The San Jose Earthquakes have reserved a block of seats at their September 27th match so that we can all get inspired and raise money for the club. Invite your friends, family, neighborhood baker and extended cousins for what should be an excellent summer evening activity.
Avaya Stadium is the Earthquake’s brand-spanking-new home about an hour’s drive down in San Jose. The game is on Sunday so traffic shouldn’t be too bad.
Visit their ticket site or click the banner above and enter the promo code (alamedasc) to purchase tickets in ASC’s block of seats in Section 123 at Avaya Stadium for the Quakes September 27th match against Salt Lake City. $5 of each ticket sold goes back to Alameda SC as a fundraiser.
I would like to thank all the families that brought their kids out to attend our Pre-Tryout training. It was great to see all the kids out, and have the event so well attended. To re-cap, the kids were shown the drills and procedures we will use during our Competitive Tryouts on Jan 24/25
Over the weekend we got to meet about 300 Alameda soccer players, and about 48 athletes interested in playing goalie.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the ASC Tryouts! Please remember Alameda Little League moved their tryouts back one week so now both soccer and baseball are on the same weekend. We made sure times allowed for both tryouts, but remember parking around Ritler will be busy.
We will be having our Club’s end of season party at SpeisekammerRestaurant (2424 Lincoln Ave, Alameda) on Monday November 17th. Doors open at 6 pm. Appetizers and drinks from 6-7 pm. Dinner will be served from 7-9 pm. This is our opportunity to acknowledge the volunteers who share their time and resources throughout the year so the kids can play soccer. We have had a great year due to the time our volunteers have invested and we want to thank each of you for your contributions.
All volunteers including coaches, assistant coaches, referees, team managers, board members and spouses are invited.
Make-up Day is scheduled for Sunday, November 2nd at Godfrey Park.
If you missed Photo Day and have not yet signed up for Make-up Day, click here to do so.
Shooting Stars will contact all players and teams that sign-up for Make-up Day and details. Teams will be assigned a photo time, just like Photo Day, and individual players will be given a timeframe which they may attend as “walk-ups”. Target release date of Make-up Day schedule is 1-2 weeks beforehand – thanks in advance for your patience!
One day camp at Harrington Park on Monday October 13th with the professional British Soccer coaches that are working with ASC Islanders this fall!
All campers be taught the fundamental soccer skills players need to master ball control and be successful in 1v1 situations. The camp will provide an opportunity for your child to play in challenging situations, learn from experienced staff and build their love of the game. All campers will begin at 9am, with an experience of the Challenger 1,000 touches and progress through the day to scrimmages and game situations, ending camp at 1.30pm.
Please provide a lunch for your Soccer player – they will be supervised by the Challenger staff through lunch time.
