Coach and Assistant Coach Registration

Alameda Soccer Coaches Night

  • August 8th, 2007.
    • Coaches for U6, U7, U8 and U10 age group meeting starts 5:30PM to 9PM
    • Coaches for U12 and up age groups meeting stars 6PM to 9PM
    • Dinner will be served (Otaez Mexican Restaurant)
    • PCA class for first-time U6, U7 and U8 coaches, and for U10+ coaches w/o PCA experience.
      • From 5:30PM to 7PM

Positive Coaching Allliance (PCA) Clinics for Coaches

  • Coaches PCA Workshop - All Head Coaches are required to attend a PCA workshop. Only teams with the Head Coach attending a workshop will be invited to the JLYSL Tournament, be eligible for Club financial support for tournament fees at other tournaments, be permitted to represent JLYSL at Commissioner's Cup, Association Cup and State Cup events. Attendance at past workshops counts towards this requirement.
    You must register in advance using the links below.

Picture Day

  • Fall Picture Day is Sunday, September 16th, 2007. More information coming soon.

    September 16th, 2007 at Wood Middle School.
    Please Arrive 15 minutes prior to your picture time.

  • Should your team be lucky enough to win a game, you get to mail in the game card. Addresses coming soon:

Field Setup/Teardown

  • Normally, fields are set up by the Alameda coach of the first game in the morning, and taken down by the Alameda coach of the last game in the afternoon, but if Alameda isn't playing those games we need volunteers. Send email to equipment@alamedasoccer.org to volunteer for a slot. Note that some fields have games both Saturday and Sunday, and everything is left up Saturday night.

Important Dates

  • Practices may not begin until coaches have their field permits and player forms in hand. These will be delivered at the August, 2007 coaches meeting. If you missed that, contact your age group coordinator to pick them up.

Field Scheduling

  • Coaches can request practice field assignments from this page. An important note from Nino Borsoni: "I expect that all fields that I have listed will be available but there is no guarantee. So I reserve the right to make changes as required based on what fields are issued. So I strees the importance of providing three choices of field locations and times."

Difference between U8 and U10

  • Stating what to look for when Coaches move from U8 to U10. The ages U6 to U8 are quite different than U10 and above. This document explains what are all the changes. Key difference between U8 and U10.
