Shooting Stars will contact all players and teams that sign-up for Make-up Day and details. Teams will be assigned a photo time, just like Photo Day, and individual players will be given a timeframe which they may attend as “walk-ups”. Target release date of Make-up Day schedule is 1-2 weeks beforehand – thanks in advance for your patience!
One day camp at Harrington Park on Monday October 13th with the professional British Soccer coaches that are working with ASC Islanders this fall!
All campers be taught the fundamental soccer skills players need to master ball control and be successful in 1v1 situations. The camp will provide an opportunity for your child to play in challenging situations, learn from experienced staff and build their love of the game. All campers will begin at 9am, with an experience of the Challenger 1,000 touches and progress through the day to scrimmages and game situations, ending camp at 1.30pm.
Please provide a lunch for your Soccer player – they will be supervised by the Challenger staff through lunch time.

In order to better accommodate coaches who are coaching on Saturday, we have rescheduled the Mid-Season Coaching Clinic to Sunday September 21, 2014 at Lincoln Park, beginning at 3:30 p.m. The times/details are as set out below.

Mid-Season Coaching Clinic – Sunday September 21, 2014 at Lincoln Park, Alameda
3:30 pm at Lincoln Park for U7-U8 coaches
5 pm at Lincoln Park for U10-U12 coaches (U14+ also welcome – practices can be developed for you to take to your teams)
Reflection of experience so far – tips and tricks that have worked for you, challenging players individually, tactics and game management, 2v1’s, 3v2’s and beyond.

The Jack London season will start 9/6 and continue for 10 weeks. U10 and older rec games will be scheduled and posted at the mysoccerleague.com website
U6/U7/U8 games are scheduled in-house and you will get the schedule from your age group coordinator.
Competitive Norcal games will be scheduled and posted through the Norcal process and published on the Norcal website.
Our Islander teams did very well this year in the Norcal State Cup Competition and we are proud of them. These were some of the results:

The Alameda City Council honored Alameda Islanders teams and program in May 2012 with a Mayoral Proclamation that recognized all ASC players and volunteers, including teams winning State Cup and League Championships. ASC is proud of all of its teams and players for their athletic and academic achievements, and good sportmanship.
