The Alameda Soccer Club Falcons U-16 Boys took 1st place in the San Ramon Fall Shootout this weekend. Despite facing talented competition early on, the Falcons finished first place in their group and qualified for the semi-finals. After winning the semi-final by a score of 2-1 they advanced to the championship to face an impressive Ballistic United team. After 60 mins of play, 2 overtime periods and several close chances the score remained tied at 0-0. The Falcons scored 4 of their penalties to win the championship by a final score of 4-2.

2009G Red win 2nd place in State Cup
The Alameda Islanders 2009G Red team took 2nd place in their Premier/4 division in State Cup over Jan 26-27 tournament weekend. The girls lost the championship match in double overtime to San Juan SC Spirits with a score of 1-0. They fought hard to the very end. Proud of these girls led under the coaching direction of Sara Diluna, Marty Farris and Adam Butler.
